Merleau-Ponty and Transcendental Philosophy

To what extent should we think of Merleau-Ponty as a transcendental philosopher? A tricky question (and one that I am currently supposed to be writing about). You can read Sebastian Gardner's answer online in his "Merleau-Ponty's Transcendental Theory of Perception".

While we're on the subject, check out Sean Kelly's new-ish blog "Seeing Things", in which the main topic of discussion is his project to provide us with a new English translation of Phenomenology of Perception.
